Hope you guys/gals can advise please. My penniless daughter has just finished a degree course in experimental psychology at Bristol (2.1) She has hummed and harred about what she would like to do and keeps coming back to the thought of working as a forensic psychologist. With this in mind she might try and do a 1 year MSc, possibly at Guildford, which is in striking distance of our home in West Sussex.

So what do you reckon? Is the market awash with graduates seeking such positions? Do you know if any forces (especially Surrey, Sussex or perhaps the Met') offer any sponsorship deals to help fund the MSc bit?

All pointers/help appreciated. Many thanks, David

Someone posted asking if we had visited any force websites. Sorry I couldn't reply as I am not a "Blue" member!!

Yes we had a look at some, including Surrey, but under "Careers" it just gave a list of vacancies with no comment (that I could see) about career development. Of course one step would be to phone up HR and have a chat. But before we did that I thought I might get some pointers from the guys that actally do the job! David

I cant see any police Forces funding or sponsoring such peeps, i guess its a case of contacting each force HQ independantly
