I have just watched the news and today is the first day after the death of David Camerons son that he has attended parliament.
Not only did he show dignity, but for once there was common sense. Gordon Brown and Nick Clegg extended a sincere condolency for his loss. A rare sight , but the house was united.
What impresses me most and as much as I berate their antics, I glimpsed for once genuine compassion from politicians.
Perhaps there is hope, I just wish they could collectively get their heads together to drag us out of the mess we find ourselves in.( and leave out the point scoring )
That said I was proud today... Proud of the behaviour of our politicians ...Proud of their compassion and Proud to be a British Subject...
It is a long time since I have felt any pride in Britain
