Hi all, I'm eagerly awaiting news about a car I may be getting my hands on soon, a Mercedez Benz C class.

My current car has after-market driving and fog lights and I'm more than likely to do the same with this one - as most of my long-distance driving is at night along quiet country roads.

However my ideas are of two pairs of lights, the pic gives a rough idea of what I'm thinking.

Would this be legal with the number of lights/power output or should this be OK? My current car's lights are on the bottom of the car where the fog lights are supposed to be and the MOT tester said that was OK.

Thanks in advance all.

if the car has front fog lights fitted as standard you cannot fit more as only two are allowed (assuming the new car was regd. post 1991) and they can't be more then 400mm from the side of the car

and to be honest it would completely spoil the lines of the car as well

sureley Mr mercedes made lamps that are effective enough, you dont need extra illegal fog lights if anything you want is a couple of high beam spots but then do you?

Sorry for the confusion - it's not fog lights I'm adding - but driving/full beam lights. The car in the pic is the same make and model and was as a guide only.

If the car comes with fog lights then that's OK for me, if I do need to add any lamps all I need is extra light for night driving.

how many ? 2 more should be enough you dont need 4... and location of additional lights is governed in law and under the level of the headlamps is not a correct place. I think you will find they need to be level with or above..
