If you have the lorry's registration number, then yes, technically you can. Don't be surprised if he refuses to accept it was him, though. After all - many cars on the road - could have been anyone, etc.
Far easier would be to go through your own insurance as a windscreen replacement does not affect your No Claims Bonus. Are the bonnet scratches deep?
Oh and welcome to the forum. :)

I know the feeling: I've had a windscreen cracked by a stone thrown up by a police car and a wing mirror knocked off by a mudguard falling off a lorry. What sort of load was it on the lorry? Was that where the stone came crom, or was it thrown up by the wheels? If it was thrown up you will probably get nowhere, but if it was off the load you might claim off their liability insurance. Mention the rules about securing loads. Just a thought anyway.

Can but try going through the lorry's insurance, then. :) Do you have his registration number?
Good luck. :)

oooh..miaou!!! Saucer of cream for bluenosewrx? :p
Yeah you can claim but it`s a pain in the ass, i spend all day telling third party`s to go away as it could have been any vehicle on the road.
Not saying that it wasn`t that lorry but probably going to be a pain. Ring the lorry company and get their insurance details and take it from there. Might be an idea to ask them if they want to do it out of insurance though as their excess will probably be at least 250.00
What`s the name of the company ? If we insure them i can just say no now and save you the bother ;)   (jk)
