Probably not the right forum but i'm sure one of the mods will move me to the appropriate one :)

My story so far:-

3 points and £30 fine for SP50 October 99
3 points and £30 fine for Sp30 March 01
3 points and £30 fine for SP30 March 01 (12 days later)

now i've been told points last for 3 years and then legally they are removed, the DVLA keep them on system for 4 years and insurance for 5years.

Ok as it looks like i'm going to be getting some more points ( had a clean licence for a whopping 1 month) :(

I have 8 years no claims bonus and my SP30's were on a dual carrige way which i thought was 40mph (didn't see the tiny little sign saying 30mph)

with my first speeding ticket in 3 years coming though the post this morning still don't know if its 3 or 6 points where am i going to find insurance that won't cost me as much as my car did ??

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Newbie

You will get 3 points + £60 and have to tell the insurance, it will go up :(
The companies are not bothered where you got them or why. They only need a small excuse to charge you more:(

Try Adrian Flux / Tesco / Liverpool Victoria

Would be handy to know what car you have

It will change with your post total. But I don't think there's a Citroen in the ranks.
