What do we think to the forums? They quick enough? Clean enough? do they have enough "extras"?

We have stickies, we have announcements, we can use signatures, and I'm going to try and sort out some kind of ranking structure.

Excellent idea, the only comment I have so far is that the colouring of the site is too dark for my personal preference

Keep it up !

Like it - just enough features to keep it sensible, and the layout etc is a refreshing change :)

One ickle thing...

I'm struggling to think of another BBS I use which has Submit as the right of the buttons when you're posting. Is it possible to swap Submit & Preview around?

Nothing major, just me being a prize clot struggles at times

Don't blame me for the old-thread revival.... LB got me going :D :D

Since it's been raised...:D

A few observations/gripes:

1) When you quote someone who has quoted someone else, you only get the quote from the second person - so it's annoying that you can't see what the quotee's referring to.

2) You can't edit your posts. Very frustrating

3) The "Preview Post" button can bear little resemblance to the finished article, and the formatting frequently goes out the window when you copy from an external site: especially when you cut and paste from a PDF file. It also throws the rest of the post formatting into a lottery.

I've now noticed that I have the facility to edit my posts. When did this happen?!?

Its only the Specialist Departments that has that disabled, there is a good historical reason.

the wheels never work for me - I read the threads and they stay gold, I refresh they're still gold etc :-)

Cookie
12-10-2005, 09:09 AM
Yeah that's a known bug

To cure it, either mark all threads as read, OR go back into that forum, then click back to the main index - makes the gold wheel go away :)

I think the forum looks great, but I need an off topic section where people can say what the hell they like, when they like!! You can put a disclaimer on so you not responsible for what go on in there;)

I just saw this thread. Where do I go to apply to be a moderator?

dude! moderator bars are so like 2005. I think we should be able to change the colour of the 5ive-o member bar to whatever we want I want a nice orange one maybe restrict it to 5ive-o blue members.

Little Lamb
09-03-2006, 02:35 AM
I want my 5-0 bar to be red all the time.

I'll have to pm Hirsty/Burr (whatever he calls himself these days) about moderators.
