AON 0845 601 2222 dropped my Mazda by nearly £200 when I was getting quotes and this year my premium went DOWN for the first time ever. Also have my wheels listed seperately without any further charge.

www.confused.com

only have to put the details in once and gives you loads of prices.

Sure you already know but it`s the miles a year and buisness use that hikes up your premium :(

Have tried confused - they gave me a quote of £812 from Bell Direct - the same as Elephant..

Will try Aon - thanks. Found Adrian Flux none to helpful when I spoke to them in the past so will try again but see what they come up with.

AON were well over a grand.. didnt see your post Burr.

Eventually renewed with Direct Line. They were £753.90 but I realised that if I also took out my home insurance with them it gave me an extra 10% discount online. As my home insurance was due for renewal end of the month anyway I switched to DL (around the same cost as current insurer) and saved an extra £75 on my car insurance (plus 10% on my house insurance too) so ended up paying £675ish

Might be worth some people trying that route if they are renewing.

good tip on the house insurance thing :)

I thought that Direct Line covered for business use as part of the standard policy? I know they do mine (even though i only travel to and from a single place of work) but they class it as full business use (apart from being a rep and carrying product, i think they do charge more for that)
