This morning I was awoken by boom boom boom thought I was having a bad dream until my son heard it too, so we went looking for it at 5.30A.M. We Could'nt find it on foot so we came back and got the car, We found the place where it was coming from other people by this time were driving around and also walking to find where this bloody awful noise was coming from, and guess what not a Plod in sight, I phoned the police and they told me they could not find where it was coming from, one guy had been looking since 11'clock last night because it was driving him mad, what I wanna know is why could they not find/stop this rave, I mean it was 3 miles from my house and you could still hear it, no good going to the local police station as it is closed at weekends:mad: So tell me guys what can I do if this happens again, I mean they put the helicopter up most nights so why not last night:mad: GITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers
Colin
I know loads of people who have been to these raves, i even know a couple of people who organize them, and i they tend to be under the impression that if the police dont get there before the thing starts and stop it, they just tend to make sure there's no damage and nothing gets out of control. i can kinda see the logic, as it would mean going and arresting a whole load of people in the middle of the woods, but it must be bloody annoying if its keeping people awake.
i personally cant see the attraction of the raves in the first place, but in my experience, the police never tend to go to great lengths with this sort of thing...a waste of resorces perhaps?

Illegal raves are taken very seriously in Bedfordshire and resources are deployed to attempt to stop them before they start. I cannot go into too much detail on a open forum, but rest assured we do a lot to prevent these raves in terms of intelligence, etc. I live very near you and I didn't hear any rave except the one about a week ago that was setting up on a Sunday evening at about 1600hrs. This was stopped. About three weeks before this another rave was stopped up near Steppingley Woods. In addition we regularly intervene with the raves that are being set up in the woods next door to Chicksands. These seem to occur, or try to at least, two or three times a month. All I can say is sorry that you feel that you weren't suitably supported on this occassion.

There have been raves in Salcey Forest of a similar sort some years ago. I think that has been sorted ot noe but took as lot of effort on the residents part and the council and the local Police assisted.
I'd not say that I have been to similar raves but might own up to similar get-togethers in London (like when the moon was blue..... and you could tell what they were singing:) not like the grunting and groaning and one line repetitions that you hear these days:rolleyes: )
