If i sell a car thats been in an accident will the police track it down and possibaly confiscate it of the new owners??

I pranged my car and repaired it. Someone wants to buy it as i now have a new car so its going. Im affraid that the police mite question them or even take the car away from them yet its not there fault.

Whats the situation regarding cars that have been involved in minor accidents and are repairable??

The car has been repaired and is roadworthy. Just selling it as i have a new one. The car has been pulled up on an NIP ive got about it. Should i sell/Scrap it as i cant insure it no more. Insurance for new car now so i have to get rid of my old one ASAP. No drive to park it on.

Nothing to stop you selling the car as you will be registered as the keeper at the time of the accident and, as you say, the police have already contacted you about the accident in question so they know who you are.

No reason for them to contact the new owners really.
