LAWS ON NEONS?? PLZ HELP!?

Does anyone please know the law on Interior Neons.

I understand undercar Neons are Illegal, or at least a Grey area that the Police frown upon so are likely to stop you than not, but what about interior neons?. I am fitting them to my Cortina but I want to know where I stand about having them on whilst driving.

I am putting them in the footwells and on my back plate (where my back seats used to be) Tricolour Liquid, Spiral and Crackle. However, if I have them on whilst driving, can I get stopped and nicked for it ?????

If the Police are reading this, I would appreciate their comments please, and anyone else who may know anything, cheers !!

You can only be in trouble if the lights can be seen from the outside of the car (from another car), the thing is, even if they see a hue of colour inside the car they'll probably pull you anyway.
